The History of Rotary Means Business (RMB)
Rotary was founded in 1905 by Paul Harris, a young Chicago lawyer, who initially created the organization as a business club to foster fellowship and mutual support among professionals. The concept of Rotary was to bring together like-minded individuals from various professions to exchange ideas, build relationships, and contribute to the well-being of their communities. In fact, the first Rotary Club was made up of businesspeople, and the core of Rotary’s early existence was rooted in professional collaboration and service to society.
Why Join Rotary Means Business?
Break Down Barriers in Business and Service:
For too long, business conversations in Rotary have been seen as taboo. RMB is redefining that narrative by encouraging Rotarians to connect and collaborate, creating meaningful business relationships that align with Rotary's values of service above self.
Expand Your Business Beyond Local Boundaries:
Joining RMB gives you the opportunity to take your business beyond your local area. Whether you're looking to tap into new markets, form strategic partnerships, or gain insights into global business trends, RMB connects you with business leaders from all corners of the world.
Grow Through Collaboration, Not Competition:
RMB encourages a spirit of collaboration rather than competition. In this group, you can share business strategies, seek advice, and partner with other Rotarians who understand the importance of ethical business practices and giving back to the community.
